Andreas Meiszner and Jose Carvalho are interviewed by Tina Wilson from the OLnet team at an OpenSE project meeting held in Greece in July 2010. Andreas and Jose talk about the Open Software Engineering (OpenSE) project from each of their perspectives.

Tina Wilson reporting on the 3rd project meeting for OpenSE:
 
The 3rd meeting of the project took place in Metamorfossi (Greece) between 12th July and 14th July 2010 (and a complementary meeting of the OpenEd project also took place in the same week). This was as usual an intensive and focused OpenSE meeting. Some of the points that I noted were as follows:
 

The OpenSE project is about setting up a new service for open and participatory learning for Software Engineering (SE). The focus on SE (a related project OpenEd is looking a other subjects than Software Engineering) enables openSE to take a different approach to open learning by linking up to the already active open source community. This allows the learners to take part as genuine members of the developer community – not necessarily developing code as there are other activities such as writing documentation and testing the software.
