A new issue of EDUCAUSE Quarterly has just been released that focuses on "Anticipating the Future of Higher Education". The issue includes an article written by Patrick McAndrew, Eileen Scanlon and Doug Clow who all work with the OLnet team at The Open University that draws on a range of project work at the OU, including OpenLearn and OLnet. Open educational resources by their very nature are materials that have been designed to be re-usable. So the EVOLUTION project is running a workshop that will provide participants with an introduction to the concepts of Re-usable Learning Objects (RLOs). It will also explore Generative Learning Objects (GLOs) developed by the RLO CETL project and then participants will be provided with a hands on session that will enable them to develop learning objects using the GLO Maker 2.0 tool.
