First lesson (re-)learnt on the openEd 2.0 course

Today I (re-)learned the first lesson on our coming openEd 2.0 course. And the 5+ hours it will take me to re-adapt the course structure in accordance is still ‘gentle’ – compared to the time this would have cost at a later point.
Within the Organizational Framework that we have earlier compiled we stressed the importance of ‘keeping the core’ of the course under our control – and we (or perhaps only I) then partly ignored this. A notice by Google about changes on files and pages within Google Groups, made part of the intended usage of Google Groups within our openEd 2.0 course obsolete. Now, there is not much of a point of using Google Groups for posting only, given that we have a fully-fledged forum within our page (okok, apart from the general mailing list vs. bulletin board overall discussion)...
