Weekly update w/c 16th August 2010; Team news, info and useful links

General

Karen has set up an OLnet podcast area on the KMI server.  There are two podcasts in it so far:

  1. Presentations by OLnet Fellows: http://podcast.open.ac.uk/pod/OLnet_Fellows (which has Scott’s IET Coffee Morning Presentation)
  2. All of the presentations from the Learning in an Open World Conference in June 2010 http://podcast.open.ac.uk/pod/OUConf10

Please feel free to promote these links through your networks. The set up is that a podcast is made up of a number of videos and it can be subscribed to as an RSS feed to be alerted when new videos are added.  The advantage of this hosting over YouTube is that YouTube has a limit of 10 minutes, whereas much longer videos can be hosted here.

Giota has added a reflective blog post (http://olnet.org/node/460) from a webinar event on 27 July 2010 linked to the linked to the Next Gen Learning Challenges initiative (see: http://www.nextgenlearning.com/).
