Updates

FlashMeeting with Hewlett and CMU last week. Continue to be interested in our work. Will give feedback on links in to their changing programme. Keen on idea that we provide a body of evidence - an "evidence portal" (for want of a better word). Particularly for the 'Deeper Learning' agenda. Very interested in OLnet fellows. CMU have money from Hewlett Packard (not the Foundation!) for five projects on the future of learning; UK's Futurelab is involved in one; opportunity for others to join in.

Andreia: E-Learning Africa

Andreia has put up some notes on her blog, which includes a link to her E-Learning Africa presentation on Slideshare She also has photos on Facebook, and a video that's not fully edited yet. Will create a cloud in Cloudworks to add these experiences in.

Many interesting issues arose and were discussed, including practical constraints, and what to do with the information about practice

Cohere pilot last week

Very useful experience, much information to process. Many changes to things like UI are now planned. Suggestion to run a second workshop or similar, some time in July, as a follow-on; perhaps shorter. Arranging this is problematic.

Cohere will be changing over time as Michelle adds features.

After a second workshop, we should be able to release a useful map of OLnet research in Cohere.

We can also use the Firefox sidebar to annotate/mark up web pages that are relevant.

AOB

Want to look at versioning/expanding our OER research questions to a set of questions for e.g. OLnet Fellows. And to use our RQ from the wiki in the next Cohere workshop.
